The names of celebrities carry a lot of different meaning to different people. Most people know of Tom Brady as a football star. What many people don’t know about him is that he’s a huge trendsetter in a number of different areas. He puts a huge amount of thought into his lifestyle and his home. What that means is that he’s often on the cutting edge of a number of different things. He’s often the first in terms of style, of technology and new ideas in general.
One of the most interesting recent developments for those keeping track of Tom Brady is a keen interest in solar power. He’s equipped the roof of his palatial mansion with quite prominent and majestic solar panels. People have started to really take notice of the fact that Tom Brady’s a solar power buff. Of course many wonder exactly why Tom’s become so interested in it. One of the big reasons for his interest in solar power is something known as eco-bling.An interest in the environment is becoming quite fashionable. The names of celebrities are out in the public and many of them have realized that this provides both a unique power and a unique responsibility. It’s up to the trend setters to help showcase what people can do to save the planet. These people have come to realize that the influence which comes from the names of celebrities can serve as a wave of social change. The celebrity serve to push forward a positive social change, other trend setters follow the example, and eventually a small army of people have embraced that change. The solar panels serve as eco-bling by being very notable and grabbing people’s attention. It gets people talking about the nature of solar power and introducing it into the own lives. Not just in the form of larger panels, but all manner of other items such as solar charging backpacks or chargers.
Of course all of that would be pointless if there wasn’t a greater purpose behind it. The reason he’s so eager to push the solar message by example is that it “just works”. It’s a form of power which simply makes sense to switch to if one has the opportunity. Using solar panels give a vast number of benefits with no real downside. The absolute worst case scenario he’d face is switching to solar is that on any given day it might only provide a portion of his energy needs instead of all of it. And in those situations the downside really isn’t a downside. I think we’d all love to live in a state where a bad day meant our power bill had been reduced by 80% instead of 100%.But in the end of the day, it’s not just about saving money. It’s about leading people to a way of life that will save the planet. Tom Brady’s a fan of solar both because it saves him money, and because it’s the right thing to do with the influence he has on the world. He knows he can help to slow down or even stop unnecessary destruction of our planet by helping influence others to a fully clean and renewable source of energy.
